Army Standard Bearer Gorget Centre

German Army or Heer Standard Bearer Gorget Centre.

This large and impressive stamped metal device formed the centre of the German standard bearers gorget. We have purchased a small quantity of these stampings from a factory in Germany, where they have been stored for several years, perhaps since the fall of the Third Reich.
It measures 120 x 100mm and is stamped from brass and with a semi matt silver plated finish with some slight toning.
