GENUINE 1945 dated WW2 BOXED United States Bronze Star medal UNCAS.

In Box of issue marked UNCAS MANUFACTURING CO and DATED FEBRUARY 1945.

The Bronze Star Medal, unofficially the Bronze Star, is awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for either heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service in a combat zone.

This fantastic WWII example is provided in its 1945 dated box of issue. We have purchased a carton of these medals dating from WWII. Each medal is packed in its own box complete with the manufacturers name and dated 2-7-45 (February 1945) it is believed that these and several other awards were manufactured in anticipation of the invasion of Japan which was expected later in 1945, bit did not occur.

This genuine 1945 vintage FULL SIZE example of this  award is complete with the correct ribbon and is fitted with a brooch suspension clasp.  It is die struck in bronze with a pleasing semi matt golden bronze finish.
